The agreement
These terms govern use of CutPilot, the cutting-plan optimiser on this website. By using the site, creating an account, or saving a plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service is offered by CutPilot. Questions: cutpilotapp@proton.me.
What CutPilot does
CutPilot takes sheet sizes, a part list, and blade width, then generates a cutting layout you can read on screen and print. You may use it without an account. An account lets you save plans and open them later.
The planner is a layout aid. It is not a substitute for checking stock, grain, kerf, machine setup, or safe cutting practice.
Accounts
You must give a real email you control. Keep the password or Google account to yourself. You are responsible for activity on the account. We may close an account that is abused, unused, or created under a false address.
You can delete individual saved plans in the library. To delete the account itself, email the address above.
Your cut lists
You keep whatever rights you already have in the sheet sizes, part lists, and names you enter. You grant CutPilot the limited right to store and display that material so the planner and library can work.
Do not upload material you are not allowed to use. Plans saved to an account are not published and are not shared with other users.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- attack, scrape, or overload the service
- probe other people’s accounts or saved plans
- use CutPilot to break the law
- copy the product in a way that competes by reproducing it wholesale
Plans at the saw
Generated layouts are estimates. Always confirm dimensions, quantities, blade width, rotation, and material before you cut. CutPilot is not liable for wasted sheet, a wrong cut, injury, or machine damage that follows from using a plan.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features.
Paid plans
Generating a cutting plan may require a paid CutPilot subscription. New subscriptions start with a 3-day free trial (£0 due today), then the monthly price shown in the product. Payment is handled by Stripe. You can cancel from Manage subscription in your account menu. Access to unblurred plans, print, and save lasts while the subscription is active.
Prices in pounds include VAT where it applies. US dollar prices do not include sales tax unless Stripe Tax is collecting it at checkout.
Our rights
CutPilot, the site, and the optimiser remain ours. These terms do not transfer any ownership in the software. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of fitness, merchantability, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or material.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts there have jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country gives you a right to sue locally.
